2. Register Name and Purpose

The name of this register is Kodinmyynti.fi customer register.

The purpose of the register is:

  • To receive and process contact requests submitted by users for comparing property-sale offers
  • To distribute leads to selected real-estate brokers so that offers can be obtained
  • To maintain the technical operation of the service and to prevent misuse

3. Data Content

We collect the following information when you fill in the Kodinmyynti.fi contact form:

Identification data:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Property details:

  • Property type (e.g. apartment, detached house, terraced house)
  • Postal code and locality
  • Floor area in m², number of rooms, year of construction
  • Timeline for the sale
  • Hoped price (optional)
  • Free-text additional details (optional)

Technical data:

  • Form language (fi/en) and submission timestamp
  • Hashed (SHA-1) IP address — not reversible back to the original
  • Browser user-agent string
  • Cloudflare Turnstile bot-check result (verified server-side, not persisted to the database)

4. Data Sources

All information is obtained directly from you when you fill in the contact form. We do not use third-party data sources or purchase contact lists.

5. Data Disclosure and Sharing

Tredec Oy forwards your contact request and the information needed to prepare an offer to at most four (4) selected brokers. A broker receives the data on behalf of the registered real-estate agency or sole trader in whose name they provide brokerage services.

The recipient of the data and the data controller is the company or sole trader in whose name the broker contacts you. The broker must, at the first point of contact, state which company they represent and that your data was obtained from the Kodinmyynti.fi service.

Brokers may pay Tredec Oy for the acquisition, targeting and forwarding of contact requests. The data may be used only to provide the brokerage service you requested, and it may not be sold or passed on to other parties.

For the technical operation of the service and for analytics carried out with your consent, we use the following service providers:

  • Cloudflare Inc. — hosting, database, email routing and security
  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited — Meta Pixel
  • PostHog Inc. — analytics hosted in the EU

Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and PostHog are loaded only after your consent.

6. Transfers Outside the EU and EEA

Cloudflare, Google and Meta may transfer personal data outside the EU and EEA. The legal basis for such transfers is the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) issued by the European Commission. PostHog's data is hosted in the EU.

7. Data Retention

We retain leads for 6 months from submission, after which they are deleted. You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time (see section 9).

8. Analytics and Cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4, Meta (Facebook) Pixel and PostHog analytics. All three are consent-based: none will load tracking scripts before you accept them in the cookie banner.

Consents are split into three categories:

  • Necessary — always on, essential for the site to function
  • Analytics — Google Analytics and PostHog
  • Marketing — Meta Pixel

PostHog session recordings mask all input fields and all text — identifiable data (name, phone, email, additional details) is not stored in the recordings.

Cookie durations: Google Analytics _ga (at most 2 years), Meta Pixel _fbp (at most 90 days), PostHog's identification storage (session-scoped before consent). Browser-imposed limits (e.g. Safari's ITP, Chrome's 400-day cap) may shorten these in practice.

You can change your cookie settings at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer or through your browser's own cookie settings.

9. Rights of the Data Subject

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — check what information about you has been stored
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate information
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Objection — object to the processing of your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (for consent-based processing)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (www.tietosuoja.fi)

10. Cookie Management

You can manage cookies in two ways:

  1. Via the site — click the "Cookie settings" link in the footer to reopen the consent banner and change your choices.
  2. Via the browser — most browsers offer settings for deleting or blocking cookies. Note that blocking cookies may affect how the site works.

11. Changes to This Policy

Tredec Oy reserves the right to update this privacy policy. The "Last updated" date shown at the top of the page indicates the latest version. Material changes will be communicated via the site.
